Shipping and Returns Policy

FedEx Ground is the Balboa Winery carrier of choice. Balboa Winery will ship to any of the contiguous U.S. states we are legally allowed to ship to. Alaska and Hawaii residents, we ship via 2-Day air service. For a shipping quote, please email

We currently ship to Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Product availability varies by state and certain states are subject to volume limitations (details about your state’s shipping laws can be found here.) We don’t ship to counties or cities where wine shipping is prohibited, and we don’t ship to these states at all:

Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia.

We do our best to make sure shipments arrive quickly and in good condition. For that reason, if the weather is too hot or too cold, we may delay shipment until conditions are more favorable. We will keep you notified if this happens.

Per Federal Law, when ordering wine, the recipient, as well as the person who places the order, must be 21 years or older. Please also check with the recipient to ensure someone 21 years or older will be available to sign for the delivery.

Balboa Winery does not sell or rent customer lists or customer information. The information we collect is used solely by employees of Balboa Winery to service you, our customer, by fulfilling orders and communicating product and winery news. For marketing communication, this includes personal information such as name and email address. For order fulfillment, name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone numbers, and credit card information is required. To opt out of marketing communications, please email with the subject ‘Unsubscribe’.

Due to the temperature-sensitive nature of wine, we are generally not able to accept returns on wine orders that have already been received by the purchaser or gift recipient. Please feel free to call us or email us with any questions at

We are able to cancel orders for a full refund as long as the order has not shipped yet. To cancel an order, please email or call 509-520-0491 with your name and order number.

Delivery days for all shipments are estimates only. We are given an expected time in transit from the shipper but delays may occur from weather or other transit issues. We do not guarantee any delivery day. However, the shipper does make at least 3 delivery attempts before the shipment will go to the warehouse for pick-up. If you plan on picking the package up, please call the shipper directly. They will automatically send the package back to us if they do not hear from the recipient in a timely manner.
